1. Where is my water meter?

Your water meter is located inside. It can be found in the basement where the water main enters your home. It is important to know where your main enters your home because this is also where a main shut-off valve is located.

2. How often do I get a bill?

The City bills customers on a quarterly basis.

3. How do I know if I have a leak?

You cannot always tell if you have a leak. Reading your meter last thing at night and first thing in the morning, will show if water was used. If water was used you should know where it is going. If the meter reading increased you may have a leak.

4. Why is my bill high?

Billings are based on actual water consumed. Meters do not run fast. When a meter malfunctions it does not record the water flowing through it. It is possible that you may have a leak.

5. Can I make payment arrangements?

No. Water and sewer billings must be paid within thirty days or a penalty of 5% will be added to the balance of the bill.
