June 16, 2014 - City Council Meeting
June 4, 2014 - Planning Commission Meeting
Open House – March 27, 2014, 5-7 p.m., City Hall - (Concept Plan)
The City held the final open house of the planning study on March 27, 2014. The open house was an opportunity to summarize the input from the previous open houses and discuss the concept plans that have been drafted for the area.
Open House – January 23, 2014 - (Nodes/Connectors, Difficult Questions)
The City held an open house at the Central Square Community Center on January 23rd to discuss input received from the October open house meeting and also to ask attendees to look at the location of the commercial areas, the parcel sizes of the commercial properties, and what land uses they would prefer in those commercial property nodes. Attendees were also asked several questions that could impact the area such as whether the City should allow liquor in these zoning districts to encourage the establishment of more restaurants in the area, how the City should address the small parcel sizes, discuss perceptions on the amount and location of parking, and parcels that have potential to serve as catalyst sites for new development.
Open House – October 10, 2013 - (Issues and Opportunities)
The City held an open house on October 10, 2013 at Central Square Community Center to hear from residents, businesses, employees and others interested in the project study area (the approximate boundaries of the project study area are 3rd Street North to the north, 2nd Avenue to the east, 3rd Street South to the south, and 14th Avenue to the west). The goal of the open house was to hear what things were working well in the area and what needed improvement. Attendees were asked complete short surveys on four topics: transportation/traffic, land use, market/business, and quality of life.
Information received from all of these surveys will be used to develop concept plans for the project area. See Map (PDF)
