South St. Paul - A Proven Partner in Transforming Vision to Reality
South St. Paul is proud that the businesses represented below have chosen our City for their long-term commitment and investment.
The Backyards
Hopkins-based-real estate development firm the Beard Group has wrapped up the first phase of their luxury apartment building “the Yards” and will soon be wrapping up their second phase called the "Backyards" which will offer an additional 126 units including a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.
The Backyards will provide the same premium amenities as the Yards, including a fitness center, community room, underground parking, and a rooftop deck. In addition to premium amenities, the Backyards will feature an interactive wall art display that highlights the city and its history. The display will include a panel showing the Mississippi River surrounded by historic South St. Paul locations including Kaposia Village and the stockyards. Both the Yards and the Backyards will have interactive, cow-related art that embraces the city’s history and keeps the legacy of the stockyards alive even as the city transitions into a new era.
In an effort to modernize their banking, Bremer Bank has proposed a new, two-story bank branch on the northern parcel of their existing bank site. The 7,500 sq. ft. office /bank building will offer a modern, clean space that is better suited to today's banking style. Upon the competition of the 2-story building, the existing 4-story office building will likely be redeveloped into a new use.
Bremer Bank New Facility
AVM Construction
AVM Construction, an Eagan-based general contractor, received approval in June of 2020 to build a new 21,200 square foot multi-suite office/ warehouse building at 121 Hardman Court. 121 Hardman Court was originally part of a plan to develop a small professional park within Bridgepoint; however, the market has proved to be stronger for light industrial businesses looking for manufacturing and warehousing spaces. This property was one of the last "shovel-ready" sites in the Bridgepoint Business Park.
The new facility has 4 separate suites and offers a screened area for exterior storage for AVM Construction and other tenants of the building. The building received a certificate of occupancy in early 2021.
